Management and Advisory Board

 Mark Holzberg, Lorica’s Chairman and CEO, is a 20 year travel industry veteran, who has held CEO and other senior executive positions with TravelCLICK, Bartech, AlphaNet Hospitality Systems, and Western Union’s Travel Industry Division. Mark founded Hotel Technology Solutions with the vision of acquiring companies that could provide a holistic solution to the technology needs of the hotel industry. In Lorica Solutions, he saw one of the best kept secrets in the industry -- a company that had developed superior technology and exceptional support capabilities to deliver the benefits of converged networks to hotels, but needed the dedicated focus, strong management team, and investment in R & D, sales, and operations that HTS could bring. Mark began his career in investment and merchant banking after service as an Army intelligence officer.

   Sophie Grigg, Lorica's Chief Operating Officer, Ms. Grigg joined Lorica in November 2008 and heads the Company’s product and R&D efforts.  Ms. Grigg has over 20 years experience in IT product development and management product development teams.  Most recently, Ms. Grigg as the Vice President of Advanced Technology & R&D at PAR SpringerMiller, one of the largest providers of property management systems to the hotel industry.  Ms. Grigg is a prominent member of HTNG, the hotel industry technology trade association, and well known and respected in the industry.

  Patrick Lewis, Lorica's Senior Vice President of Operations, Mr. Lewis joined Lorica in February 2008 and heads the Company’s network operations and customer support operations.  Mr. Lewis was previously the Senior Vice President of Operations at Stayonline, Inc., a leading provider of HSIA to the hospitality industry.  At Stayonline, Mr. Lewis trained and managed over 50 operations employees and oversaw the successful planning and installation of wireless networks at a number of leading hotel brands, allowing Stayonline to increase its installed base of hotels by over 50% in one year.  Prior to Stayonline, Mr. Lewis was the co-founder and CEO of Promasa LLC, a technology firm servicing global hospitality and multi-dwelling industry clients in the US, Central America and the Caribbean.  Prior to Promasa, Mr. Lewis was a Systems Engineer with Cisco Systems, Inc. and is professionally certified as a Cisco Network Professional.  Mr. Lewis received a BBA from the Radford University School of Business and served in the United States Marine Corp for five years before starting his IT career in the private sector.

 Don Jensen,Lorica's Vice President of Sales, Mr. Jensen joined Lorica in February 2009 and heads the Company’s sales and marketing efforts.  Mr. Jensen has over 20 years experience in senior sales positions at telecom and HSIA companies, including Sprint and Wayport, focused on data and telecom sales to the hospitality industry.  Most recently, Mr. Jensen built, directed and led the hospitality sales organization at Wayport.

 Peter Hasenauer, Lorica's Vice President of Technology, Mr. Hasenauer brings nearly 30 years of technology experience to Lorica in the design and manufacturing of a variety of software and hardware products.  At Lorica, Mr. Hasenauer is responsible for overall R&D project planning, staffing and management, and product procurement and supply chain management.  Prior to joining Lorica, Mr. Hasenauer was the Engineering Manager at Hover-Davis Corporation, a designer and manufacturer of component delivery systems for the circuit board assembly industry, where he directed a 25+ member R&D organization.  Prior to Hover-Davis, Mr. Hasenauer was the Director - Software, Electrical and Firmware Products for XESystems, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Xerox Corporation that developed and sold wide-format digital systems, printers, copiers, scanners, etc.  At XESystems, Mr. Hasenauer managed a 50+ member R&D organization charged with designing printer and scanner electronics, embedded software and desktop application software.  Mr. Hasenauer started his R&D career at Eastman Kodak Company where he spent nearly 20 years in successive management positions.  Mr. Hasenauer completed work towards an MS in Computer Science at RIT and has a BS in Industrial Engineering from SUNY Buffalo where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.

  Fred Haskins, Lorica's Vice President of Program Management, Mr. Haskins brings more that 20 years of program and corporate management experience within high-technology companies to Lorica Solutions.  Mr. Haskins is program manager for Lorica of the Marriott Clear Sky program and the pilot implementation, the Renaissance Boston Waterfront, managing day-to-day interaction with AT&T and Marriott International, while overseeing several other Lorica HSIA implementation projects. Prior to joining Lorica in August 2007, Mr. Haskins was General Manager of SmartPill Corporation, a developer of an ingestible medical device to aid in the diagnosis of GI motility disorders. Mr. Haskins successfully managed the Company-wide, cross-functional efforts that launched the Company's initial commercial product in December 2006. Among his other duties at SmartPill were orders forecasting, production planning, and supply chain management.  Prior to joining SmartPill, Mr. Haskins founded a marketing consultancy, managing the development and implementation of client Websites, collateral, market launch events, and press/media tours for his high-tech clients.  Earlier, Mr. Haskins co-founded Clearwire Technologies, a developer of innovative broadband wireless data communications equipment for the local loop by-pass/WiFi market. Mr. Haskins developed the business plan, prepared the financial model, actively supported the Company's fundraising and partnership-building efforts, and created and maintained the market selection model used to select the metropolitan areas in which Clearwire networks were constructed.

  Matthew Stone, Senior Finance and Business Development Advisor, A Senior Vice President of The Seabury Group, Matthew was deal team leader or co-leader on more than $100 million of private equity transactions for companies in the airline, software and e-travel industries. With significant expertise in transaction structuring and execution, he works closely with Lorica senior management on strategic, financial, and business development plans. Matthew previously worked in the Corporate Development Group of Micron Technology, Inc. where he was responsible for coordinating strategic investments in and acquisitions of private and public semiconductor companies. He also served as Vice President of Business Strategy for 1GlobalPlace, Inc where he directed the company’s capital raising efforts acted as an advisor on its acquisition by Verisign in 2001.

 Bob Bennett, Advisory Board Member, is currently an independent consultant with more than thirty years experience in hospitality technology.  Bob was most recently CIO of Ginn Clubs and Resorts.  Previously he was senior vice president of product management for Pegasus Solutions and led the hospitality consulting practice at PriceWaterhouseCoopers.  Bob has also held senior level positions in the technology area with MICROS-Fidelio; Marriott International and Hilton International.  Bob was inducted into the Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals International (HFTP) Hall of Fame in June 2000.  He is a founding member and past chairman of the America Hotel and Motel Association (AH&MA) Technology Committee and is a frequent speaker at a number of industry forums.

 Jules Sieburgh, Advisory Board Member, is a Certified Hospitality Technology Professional and is also an inductee in the HFTP Hall of Fame.  His background includes top technology positions with Kerzner International Bahamas, Host Marriott Corporation, priceline.com, and Inter-Continental Hotels & Resorts.  He is currently a consultant with O’Neal Consultants, providing technology guidance and coordination management to hotel owners, and also plays a leadership role in a number of hospitality technology organizations and forums.

 Bryan Steele, Advisory Board Member, is the founder and Managing Director of Jireh-Tek, a UK based IT consulting firm whose clients include Hilton International, AT&T, MAF Hospitality and Visa Europe.  His previous experience includes senior roles at Thistle Hotels, CMGI, the incubator for a range of companies including Alta Vista, and Unilever. Steele is a former board member of Hotel Technology Next Generation (HTNG) and on leaving the Board was appointed as an Executive Advisor to HTNG in 2006.  He is an active speaker and participant at many industry events.

 Jeremy Rock, Advisory Board Member, is founder and President of the RockIT Group, a consultancy specializing in the design, selection and implementation of systems and telecommunications in new and refurbished hotels and resorts. With more than eighteen years experience working with hotel management companies, Rock has held executive positions with Sunstone Hotels, The Edward Thomas Companies, and Northview Corporation.  A Certified Hospitality Technology Professional who has served on the technology advisory committees of Marriott International and Bass Hotels & Resorts (now InterContinental Hotel Group), Rock is a frequent guest speaker at industry forums and a regular contributor to industry publications.
